Phap Van Pagoda Chi Campaign Event

USAID Wildlife Asia is partnering with the Vietnam Central Buddhist Association (VCBA) to organize a one-day interactive event for both Buddhists and non-Buddhists at Phap Van Pagoda on July 14, 2019 in Hanoi, Vietnam. The date falls in the middle of the lunar month, the full moon, when thousands of Vietnamese citizens go to the pagoda to hear lectures on life and ethics, and pray for health, luck, and happiness.

USAID Wildlife Asia will integrate SBCC messaging into this event by having the Venerable Thich Thanh Huan highlight the importance of rejecting illegal wildlife products to personal morality. Participants include 200-250 Buddhist and non-Buddhist attendees, including businessmen and government officials in Vietnam.
